vcf.design
Hello Guys, i scanned some Documents from 1912 from a very small german printing house with a very unique Fraktur Typeface. I tried to find a remotely similar Typeface to get some inspiration for the missing Glyphs since i miss quite some glyphs. Interesting is to me that the lines on the baseline don't turn down like on almost all other Fraktur Typefaces but turn up and inward. Especially the stem-design on the W is quite unique, i could not find one typeface that has the same structure. If you have ideas where to look, please hit me up. If you think some of the Glyphs should be left out or "corrected" when digitizing in Glyphs3, please tell me. i think its not completely consistent. Letter Library
How do the original scans look like? This looks more like calligraphy without any fonts. You are right, it will not fit most fonts in the Fraktur category. It’s better to look at blackletter fonts categorized as “Gotisch” and “Kanzlei”. The closest match I can think of is Renaissance-Fraktur: https://letterlibrary.org/typeface/renaissance-fraktur-llt991-r991/
